Sleep and Counseling

There are many reasons one may have challenges with their sleep. Anxiety can have a huge impact on sleep patters and healthy sleep. Allergies and sinus challenges can effect sleep. Many medications have stimulant properties in them and will keep you up at night. Caffeine use and alcohol use has shown in many studies to adversely impact sound sleep . Stress at work and stress at home, family stress in general can keep you up at night.

Research shows that we need are sleep and if we do not receive adequate sleep in can impact our: mood/irritable/depression/anger; our health( heart disease, stroke, high blood pressure, hypertension, diabetes, and more. If one does have a medical condition listed above it can also impact ones sleep. The body and mind are one and we must realize the great impact our minds have on our health and bodies.

Behavioral changes can be challenging however behavior modification and counseling can help modify unhealthy habits: unhealthy diet habits, unhealthy thoughts, unhealthy patterns, unhealthy choices.
