Teens marijuana

Twenty five million teens over 12 tried marijuana .

Ten percent of eight graders, 25 percent of 10th graders, and 31
percent of 12 th graders had used weed once in the past year.

Research w college students show heavy users of marijuana had
significant impairment in attention, memory and learning.

Short term effects of marijuana are: problems w memory and learning,
difficulty thinking , impaired coordination, increased heart rate and
much more….

Ling term users report less satisfaction w life, poorer education,
more interpersonal problems, more mental health problems.

Some signs and symptoms of use may be: clothes smell of smoke, chewing
gum or using mints often, eye drop use , running out if money ,
avoiding eye contact, secretive behaviors, drop in grades, truancy at
school, loss of interest in hobbies or extracurricular events, and
more…

Counseling and psychotherapy w individual and family counseling can be
extremely helpful.
