I read a few tips on helping your child be drug free.
1. Learn about popular drugs.
2. Know warning sign of drugs: change of friends, sleep patterns, slipping grades, loss of interest in hobbies, hostile attitude, lack of motivation, disappearing money.
3.Take time to know your child's friends.
4.Know where your teen is and what she is doing?whom will she be with? What type of family do their friends have? Do they have healthy ethics, values, relationships.
5. Do things 1 on 1 with your child. Take a walk, laugh, tell stories, play cards, board games. Listen to your child and be open to his inner feelings.
6.Encourage your child to get involved in positive activities.
7. Visit your child's room.
8. Display unconditional love and parenting so your child feels he can communicate anything to you.
