Psychiatric Medications Children

Over Two Million children are on drugs that can cause severe weight gain. In some cases weight gain has been up to 20 lbs pound in less than three months of taking the medications.

Many of these medications are used to treat: behavior challenges, ADHD, ADD, and Bipolar Disorder.

Some of the drugs are approved by the FDA and some are not approved, however, weight gain is listed as a side effect.

There are many side effects listed on Psychiatric medications and it is best for parents to research this information. Talk to a physician and weigh benefits vs potential detriments.

I read a recent article stating that Wyeth pharmaceutical paid 26
ghost writers to promote hormone replacement therapy.

The article states that sales skyrocketed into the billons due to
sales promoting the biased research.

Hormone replacement therapy has recent research stating it does not
support the use in relation to the biased articles.

It is important to think and research independently so we can treat
our health in the healthiest manner.

Most research is short term for medications and women take these
medications for years if not decades.

The quick fix is easy but may not be the best in the long term for
your health.

Discuss your options with a naturopathic physician and get second and
third opinions from experts: nutrition experts and more before you get
on meds.
