Prescription drugs are the most commonly used and abused drugs in teens. A recent study states prescription drugs use is more common than marijuana- weed.

We seem to only tune in to prescription drug issues when it allegedly impacts a celebrity: Michael Jackson? Anna Nicole Smith? Heath Ledger? Etc

Prescription drugs need to be locked up in secure places and away from children and teens.

Prescription drug parties are very common. Teens bring prescriptions from the household to parties…mixing or taking these drugs are extremely dangerous and can result in death!!!!
Mixing these drugs with alcohol can be dangerous and result in death.

It seems that there should be a data base that regulates the amount of drugs dispensed so every physician knows how many prescriptions are out there for each patient. I am not sure if this system is in place or if it exists but it seems regulation is vital.
