An extremely high percentage of teens are functioning at a low level due to sleep deprivation. Many teens are on their devices (Playing video games, smart phones, I Pads, Computers, Texting, watching you tube, netflix and more). Many parents go to sleep at 9 or 10 pm and most teens are still up till 1 am, 2 am, 3am.

MEMORY , MENTAL TASKS, COGNITIVE PROCESSING, and MOOD are all impacted in a negative way. The association between screen time and mental health is important for parents to recognize since many children and teens are on their screens 8 hours a day. The more screen time the more distractible your child will be as well as more likely he or she will have depression, anxiety, or another mental health disorder according to research in 2019. The research shows your child or teen will have less friends and less social interactions and social activities has a very high correlation with adult happiness.

Youth that spend more time on screens instead of face to face in person activities or reading or playing sports are much less happy than those children and teens that do not spend so much time on screens( tv, smartphones, I pad, Game boy, Video Games, xbox, internet, netflix, disney plus, prime etc)
