relueving anxiety or depression in a number of studies.

The belief alone that the dummy pill or ( placebo ) is the real deal
unleashes the brain s belief that the patient will indeed feel better
and receive the expected relief.

According to research the bed side manner of the physician is the most
important component to a patients belief that the placebo will work.

The placebo has a neurological foundation. The sugar pill can activate
opioids that can relieve pain and modulate the heart rate and breathing.
